The small all-rounder with the great sound: the TG D50
Thanks to its compact dimensions, this microphone does a great job, using it as
a kick-drum or tom microphone and it works great for nearly all kinds of instruments.
Just like its big brother, the TG D70, the TG D50 has a switchable EQ integrated
as well. Switching it to “LIN”, this microphone delivers a linear, natural sound without
any modification. The “EQ” switch optimises it for kick-drums without any additional
devices.
The transducer used in the TG D50 offers the typical powerful “beyer”-sound
and very high gain before feedback – thanks to its cardioid polar pattern.
Shipped incl. transport bag and special microphone clamp MKV99.
Sound Channeling Technology:
- Expanded resonance space for exceptionally powerful sound
- Special sound holes for a frequency-independent polar pattern
- Cardioid polar pattern
- Integrated elastic suspension
- Rugged design
- Excellent impulse fidelity
- Switch for frequency response: LIN (linear) and EQ (equalizer)
- Transducer type: Dynamic
- Operating principle: Pressure gradient
- Polar pattern: Cardioid
- Frequency response
- Close miking (switch position LIN): 50 - 17,000 Hz
- Close miking (switch position EQ): 20 - 15,000 Hz
- Distant miking (switch position LIN, measured at 1 m): 80 - 17,000 Hz
- Open circuit voltage (switch positon LIN): 2.4 mV/Pa (-52.5 dBV) ±3 dB
- Open circuit voltage (switch positon EQ): 0.9 mV/Pa (-60.9 dBV) ±3 dB
- Nominal impedance (switch position LIN): 600 Ω
- Nominal impedance (switch position EQ: 200 Ω
- Load impedance: ≥ 2 kΩ
- Connection: 3-pin XLR connector, male
- Length: 104 mm
- Shaft diameter: 24 mm
- Head diameter: 41 mm
- Weight (without clamp): 134 g
- Weight (with clamp): 189 g
