The Vault CONTROL-1 is a miniature console to control the level of your computer's audio to powered monitor speakers. Featuring all passive circuitry with an uncluttered signal path to avoid coloration the unit simply connects between your desktop computer, laptop or audio interface and loudspeakers.

Vault Control-1 Passive Monitor Controller Studio Setup With Vault Ai22 Audio Interface

Combo sockets enable balanced input on XLR or 6.35 mm TRS connectors, the L/R stereo output is on
XLR connectors. The CONTROL-1 also provides unbalanced 3.5 mm stereo input and output to accomodate consumer equipment.

For additional convenience, the unit incorporates an output mute switch and a mono switch to sum the left and right stereo channels.

With sides of solid wood, a powder coated steel enclosure and non-slip rubber feet the CONTROL-1 is a highly useful tool in the studio and at home... and it’s an eyecatcher, too!

CONNECTING AN AUDIO INTERFACE
If your audio interface provides XLR or 6.35 mm TRS outputs use high quality shielded patch or microphone cables for balanced connection to the CONTROL-1 ’s L/R combo inputs.

NOTE: TO PREVENT POPS AND CRACKLING NOISES MAKE SURE YOUR MONITOR SPEAKERS ARE SWITCHED OFF BEFORE CONNECTING THE CONTROL-1.

•Connect the L/R outputs of your interface to the CONTROL-1 L/R inputs.
•Connect the CONTROL-1 L/R outputs to your monitors.
•Set your computer's audio output level to maximum and your software master volume to 0 dB.
•Set the C0NTR0L-1’s attenuation control fully counterclockwise.
•Switch on your monitors.
•Make sure the C0NTR0L-1's mute function is deactivated and bring up the volume by rotating the attenuation control clockwise.

Stereo inputs:
L/R combo sockets for balanced XLR or 6.35 mm TRS input plus 3.5 mm TRS jack. To prevent ground loops do not use the combo sockets and 3.5 mm jack simultaneously.

Stereo outputs:
L/R XLR sockets plus 3.5 mm TRS jack. To prevent ground loops do not use the XLR sockets and 3.5 mm jack simultaneously.

Mono:
Pressing this switch feeds a mono sum of the left and right stereo channels to all outputs.

Pressing this switch mutes all outputs.

Attenuation:
This knob controls the output level to your monitor speakers.
